Course Details
This 1.5-hour webinar builds the capacity of educators of Year 7-12 students to support young people to learn about consent and healthy relationships. The session enables educators to develop their knowledge of the guiding principles of consent, both within intimate relationships and more generally, as well as looking at ways to communicate about consent. The session also examines the hallmarks of healthy relationships and ways to support the development of healthy relationships.
Accompanying materials are provided to support further learning for participants.
Key learning areas include:
- The importance of consent, and identify a range of ways for young people to communicate about consent
- Strategies for teaching about consent and healthy relationships
- Learning activities and resources for teaching about consent and relationships
- Support services and reliable sources of information about consent and relationships for young people

Course structure
This 1.5-hour webinar is an interactive learning experience which includes opportunities for discussion and activities.
This course may also be presented as a face-to-face course when delivered as a customised training request.
Eligibility/Prerequisite
Educators working with students in Years 7-12 or currently working towards a qualification to do so.
