Course details
This course provides professional development for clinicians who want to update their knowledge about unintended pregnancy and medical abortion in primary care. Delivered online, clinicians can complete the course in a flexible way to suit their learning needs.
This course covers a comprehensive range of topics, including principles of non-directive counselling, unintended pregnancy options, legal and service frameworks for abortion and the role of primary care practitioners in information provision, assessment, follow up and referral as required.

Course structure
This self-paced online course takes approximately 2 hours to complete. Participants can enrol at any time and will have up to one month to finish the course.
Recognition/accreditation
Participants who complete this course will be issued with a Statement of Completion.
This course is equivalent to 2 hours to meet the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) requirements for CPD.
