Course details
The SEARCH project is improving access to essential reproductive and sexual health services for NSW residents in regional and rural areas and especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The SEARCH project presents a series of webinars during the year. Led by experienced Family Planning Australia clinicians and subject matter experts, the webinars cover key topics including:
- 18 September 2025, 6:30pm -7:30pm Medical Abortion: Case studies in managing complications
- 18 September 2025, 12 noon – 1:00pm Medical Abortion: Case studies in managing complications
- 29 October 2025, 6:30pm -7:30pm What constitutes quality in abortion care?
- 30 October 2025, 12 noon – 1:00pm What constitutes quality in abortion care?
- 10 December 2025, 6:30pm -7:30pm Nurse led models of care
- 11 December 2025, 12 noon – 1:00pm Nurse led models of care
Fully funded by NSW Health for eligible NSW participants.
Who should attend
Primary care clinicians including GPs, nurse practitioners, nurses, midwives and Aboriginal Health Workers seeking to enhance their clinical knowledge and skills in reproductive and sexual health.
Course structure
The SEARCH webinars are presented for 1 hour on a Wednesday evening and repeated at lunchtime Thursday the same week throughout the year.
The session includes expert presentations, case discussions, and interactive Q&A.
Recognition/accreditation
Participants who complete this course will be issued with a Statement of Attendance.
