The session also covers NSW laws protecting individuals with intellectual disabilities from sexual exploitation, clarifying common misconceptions about their legal capacity to engage in relationships and sex. Participants will learn about supported decision-making and the impact of societal misunderstandings on the ability of people with intellectual disabilities to form meaningful connections.
