Safety of insertion of the copper IUD and LNG-IUS in nulliparous women: a systematic review

In February 2017 we conducted a systematic review to identify barriers to intrauterine contraception use in women who had never given birth. Intrauterine methods are very effective, but their use is relatively low. Evidence-based information about the advantages and disadvantages of these contraceptives is required to inform decision-making and dispel any myths and misperceptions.
